Locking cables offer a quick, secure connection without the need for additional locking hardware. The C13 end locks into C14-equipped hardware, removing the hazard of an accidental disconnection. This unique locking mechanism is located in the ground socket and disconnects with the slide of two red tabs on the connector. 

Commonly used to connect a monitor to a computer's power supply output and can be used with international power strips. May also be used as an extension to increase the length of an existing standard AC cable.
